Sovereign Subjects

Sovereign Subjects unfolds at the confluence of ethnographic research and visual poetics. Central to this work is a photographic project, composed during fieldwork from 2018 to 2021, that does more than document—it enacts. These images trace the contours of same-sex desire, diasporic belonging, and the ritual textures of Indigenous life, offering a visual language through which sovereignty and selfhood are rendered palpable.
